Perpetos is a Belgian SME with global operations. We actively guide B2B companies in implementing key initiatives to maximize their growth potential and achieve commercial excellence.

Our core team of 10 individuals is poised for significant growth in the coming years. To facilitate this expansion, we have recently restructured our organizational framework. We are organized around clusters of clients with similar sales dynamics, supported by an expert team and a shared service team.

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and versatile professional to join our team as a Business Developer. In this position, you will be identifying new business opportunities, building strong relationships with existing clients, and expanding our client base. You will play a vital role in driving the growth and success of our organization by combining your business development expertise with exceptional relationship management skills.

Responsibilities

1. Business Development:

  • Conduct market research to identify potential clients, industries, and market trends in line with our go-to-market strategy.
  • Develop and implement strategies to generate new business leads and opportunities.
  • Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline by actively prospecting and engaging with potential clients.
  • Conduct presentations, negotiate contracts, and close deals to achieve sales targets.
  • Collaborate with the delivery team to develop innovative solutions and tailor offerings to meet client needs.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments, competitor activities, and emerging trends to identify new business prospects.

2. Relationship Management:

  • Build and nurture strong relationships with existing clients to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for clients, understanding their needs, and ensuring exceptional service delivery.
  • Conduct regular meetings and check-ins with clients to understand their evolving requirements and provide relevant solutions.
  • Collaborate with the delivery team to address client concerns, resolve issues, and ensure smooth project delivery.
  • Proactively identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling our products and services to existing clients.
  • Gather client feedback, analyze customer satisfaction metrics, and recommend improvements to enhance client experience.

3. Building brand recognition:

  • Represent the organization at industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events to build a strong professional network.
  • Cultivate relationships with key industry stakeholders, influencers, and potential partners.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing, product development, and delivery, to drive synergy and maximize business opportunities.
  • Participate in the development of marketing strategies, promotional materials, and sales collateral to support business development efforts.

Requirements

  • Master degree or equivalent in experience in business administration, marketing, or a related field. 
  • Proven track record in business development and sales in a B2B environment.
  • Strong relationship-building and client management skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities, with the capability to articulate complex concepts effectively.
  • Eager to identify and pursue new business opportunities.
  • Results-oriented mindset with a proven ability to meet or exceed sales targets.
  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to analyze market trends and competitor activities.
  • Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
  • Knowledge of the industry and market dynamics is a plus.

Sales Coach

As a Sales Coach, your focus will be on customer-centric sales methodologies based on cognitive models, deep understanding through powerful questioning, active listening, and building trust with customers. We primarily focus on the following domains:

  • Buyer Journey Alignment: You will assist our clients in mapping buyer journeys, providing the right message at the right time to the right person, and implementing buyer-aligned processes and a sales culture that adds value and meets customer expectations at every touchpoint (both digital and human).
  • Sales Enablement: Your role will involve empowering our clients' sales teams by implementing a best-in-class sales methodology, aligning sales and marketing processes, and utilizing enablement technologies such as CRM, content management, sales intelligence, and engagement platforms.
  • Sales Training & Sales Management Coaching: You will be responsible for developing the sales capabilities of our clients' sales force using the latest learning and development approaches. This includes a unique blend of classroom training, virtual training, peer-to-peer and one-on-one coaching, coach the coach sessions, snackable e-learning, and a microlearning app.

How Can You Strengthen Our Team? 

To be a valuable addition to our team, we seek candidates who meet the following criteria:

  • At least 5 years of experience in B2B sales and a solid understanding of B2B marketing fundamentals.
  • Demonstrated passion for sales and marketing excellence.
  • Experience in sales and marketing improvement projects.
  • Ability to advise and coach management teams.
  • Proficiency in implementing sales support tools, including CRM.
  • Experience in training and coaching projects.
  • Proven track record in selling services and products to new clients.
  • Excellent presentation skills in both face-to-face and virtual settings.
  • Self-discipline to work independently and organize tasks efficiently.
  • A self-starter who can structure and organize tasks autonomously.
  • Strong customer orientation with a focus on making a meaningful impact.
  • Multilingual proficiency, specifically Dutch, French, and English. Knowledge of German or other languages is considered an asset.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally within Europe, with rare intercontinental trips (e.g., US, South Africa,..).
  • Curiosity and a desire to ask questions to gain a comprehensive understanding of the bigger picture.
  • Quick and smart thinker who can identify potential pitfalls and bottlenecks in projects on the go.
  • Ability to handle complexity and bring clarity and simplicity to challenging situations.
